The mechanism of insulin release from the catchet was study. The results of the physiochemical property revealed carbohydrate,protein, fat and oil. The viscosity and the bioadhessivness was mucin concentration dependent. All the animal show a glucose lowering potential and it is best in the formulation with high mucin content. Based on our finding, we proposed that the biological activity of insulin in preserved in the preparation: and mucin protected the degradation f insulin inthe GIT.

He is a holder of Master and Ph.D degree in Pharmaceutics of the University of Nigeria Nsukka. Momoh also had a master degree in Public Health, Imo State University Owerri.
