Among the various ESL communicative speaking activities, oral reporting activities promote oral fluency on the one hand, and public speaking skills on the other. These oral presentations function as excellent generators for studenets language, and can simulatanously improve their use of non verbal communication. In middle and high schools, a variety of factors work to underplay the role of English language presentations. This becomes a serious problem when students graduate, unprepared for the social, professional, and academic demands required for these skills. This study, was therefore, an attempt to investigate the teaching of oral presentation skills in schools in UAE. Data was collected through workshops addressing the audience of English teachers. The teachers' responses suggested a whidespread misconceptions regarding the implementation of oral presentation skills in their classrooms. Yet, the findings indicate that teachers are willing to include oral presentations if they receive the appropriate training in this field.
