Oral submucous fibrosis is a crippling fibrotic disorder prevalent in South East Asia, mostly in India. Incidence of oral submucous fibrosis in India is 0.2-0.5% of population. Buccal fat pad functions well as a pedicled graft in the surgical management of oral submucous fibrosis. The healing is usually uneventful. Interincisal opening achieved is also satisfactory, No particular disadvantages are seen with Buccal Fat Pad.
