Dissertation of professional master's degree in science teaching, defended and approved in 07/2017, at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio de Janeiro, in the city of Nilópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The research was developed with students from the second grade of high school at Colégio Pedro II, Engenho Novo II campus, which is a federal public school, linked to the Ministry of Education. The proposal was to develop a teaching methodology that associates the teaching of chemistry with the student's daily life, in addition to social and scientific issues, and the pedagogy of Paulo Freire, thus valuing the student's previous knowledge and non-formal education, which should be a complement to formal education.

Profesor de química en la escuela secundaria durante 35 años. Actualmente enseña en la red privada y en la red pública estatal y federal. Soy parte de la Junta de la Asociación Brasileña de Química y ayudo en la coordinación de las Olimpiadas de Química en Río de Janeiro. Tengo dos especializaciones en el área de la enseñanza de las ciencias de la naturaleza.
