The big question that the authors of this volume would what to ask is; what can we, therefore, learn from Organization Development Interventions (ODI) in the cooperative development from the chapters of this book? The aim of OD is to increase the effectiveness of the cooperative organization. This can be achieved by developing the human factor in organizations. It is, however, not enough to focus on human attitudes only, because there are other factors or obstacles that can obviously slow down the progress, for instance; socio-economic structures and traditional methods of work, which are ordinarily out of step with modern life. It is, therefore, of importance to relate OD to structures and processes of the cooperative organizations.
