It is widely accepted that firms that use sophisticated human resource management initiatives such as high-performance work systems achieve above average performance. The study focuses on the universalistic perspective. The perspective suggests that the best Human Resource Management practices can be used in any organization and will produce positive results irrespective of firm conditions. The results establish the fact that Automobile industry has a robust HR system in place which ensured in the past and designed to ensure higher production, record sales with maximum profits in the future as well. However, significant may be the contribution of HR systems, organizations still fail and fall for a number of reasons beyond the control of the organization. While Strategic Human Resource Management Practices have certainly impacted the Automobile industry growth and success positively, there could be several other factors which are not part of the scope of this research.
