Organosilicon compounds are organometallic compounds containing carbon-silicon bonds. The associated science to their synthesis and characteristics is called organosilicon chemistry. Being colourless, combustible, hydrophobic, and air-stable, the majority of organosilicon compounds have characteristics with common organic molecules.
