A scared little puppy is living in the woods, wishing he had a family, when he sees a young man stop on the side of the road. The puppy goes to make friends, but at first, the young man doesn't pay him any attention. When the young man notices the puppy is muddy and alone, he decides he will call him Oscar and take him home with him.
