Oscar Dames is Dean of Scholars and Music Educator at Akhepran International Academy. He has over 30 years' experience developing school music programs and playing solo clarinet and bassoon with some of the most prestigious ensembles in the Bahamas. Oscar, and the bands he leads, have won numerous awards, including winning first place in three consecutives Junior Junkanoo parades. He also shares his talent and expertise as a member of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Reserve and serves as an education instructor for the Band Section.
