The endosseous dental implant has become a scientifically accepted and predictable treatment for completely and partially edentulous patients. Successful osseointegration is a prerequisite for functional dental implants. The osseointegration is a complex process that can be influenced by many factors related to the surface topography, biocompatibility, and loading conditions which all play an important role in osseointegration. The aim of this book is to analyze the current understanding of clinical assessments and factors that determine the success & failure of osseointegrated dental implants.
