Ossian Ray (December 13, 1835 January 28, 1892) was a United States Representative from New Hampshire. Ray was born in Hinesburg, Vermont and his family moved to Irasburg, Vermont when he was young. He attended the public schools and an academy in nearby Derby. He studied law in Irasburg and in Lancaster, New Hampshire, where he moved in 1854. Mr. Ray was admitted to the bar in 1857 and practiced in Essex and Coos counties. Ray was the solicitor for Coos County, New Hampshire from 1862 to 1872. He twice served as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 1868 and, again, in 1869.
