Ossining is a town in Westchester County, New York, United States. The population was 37,674 at the 2010 census. It contains two villages, the Village of Ossining and part of Briarcliff Manor, the rest of which is located in the Town of Mount Pleasant. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 15.6 square miles (40.4 km²), of which, 11.7 square miles (30.3 km²) of it is land and 3.9 square miles (10.1 km²) of it (25.06%) is water. Ossining is bounded to the west by the Hudson River and to the north by the Croton River.
