Ular walked away from the two lovers, suddenly contemplating his own life choices. He had worked all his life for other people. He had given himself over to full-time service to several kings, the military, history, exploration and preservation, international diplomacy, and scientific reasearch. He had spent so many years in the service of others that he had never thought of pursuing anything for himself. He had spent so many years discovering other places that he had never really discovered himself. With a sigh, Ular looked out at his ship. Deep down, he suspected that this voyage of discovery at Martosilla would be his final one. Now in his sixties, a tired and weary Ular finds himself to be the last surviving member of a heroic generation. Lonely and struggling with his own mortality, he decides to journal his strange dreams of a superior race of humans and bizarre visions of other worlds in the hopes of discovering himself.
