In 1982, after the war between Argentina and Great Britain over the Falkland Islands, the English army ordered Officer Cardozo to identify the Argentine soldiers who died in that territory and to design a cemetery to bury them. The results of his work reached the Argentine government, which didn't make it public or known to the families of the fallen, so that they remained unidentified. This book recounts recent and successful efforts to restore a memory overshadowed by institutional inaction, nationalist pride, and the shadow of the dictatorship.
