Dr. John K. Bragg is an assistant professor of History and Education at New Jersey City University. His research interests include political economy, handicraft industry, provincial studies, folklore, and Islamic family law. He has published a peer-reviewed chapter on Fuzuli's Leyla and Majnun and has delivered conference papers on the nineteenth-century resettlement of Circassian refugees in Anatolia and non-Muslim legal tactics before the ¿er'î courts.
