Autorenporträt
Sally K. Severino M.D. earned her medical degree from Columbia University Roy and Diana Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She served seventeen years at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Westchester Division before becoming Professor and Executive Vice-Chair, Department of Psychiatry, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, where she is currently Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry. Certified by the American Psychoanalytic Association, she served as the first woman president of the American College of Psychoanalysts. She is grounded in the Christian contemplative tradition, which she has practiced some twenty-five years. She lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
