Produktbeschreibung
This book titled Our last hope, tries to give a brief historical structure of Nigeria, beginning from before colonization till the present. This book depicts Nigeria as a multiethnic state comprising of three nations, which were joined together by the British colonial masters. According to this book, though these nations in Nigeria consider their interests and needs conflictual, but that about 90% of these needs are the same for all the nations. These needs are listed as: indigenous Leadership, security of life and property, the dividends of democracy and Resource Control. This book makes use of some conflict resolution strategy to synchronize and resolve the supposedly incompatible needs of Nigerians by classifying them into position, interest and needs. This book also advocates the regionalization of political powers in Nigeria by way of letting each state or region in Nigeria manage and govern itself. In this book, confederation as a system of government was recommended as against the current OVER_CENTRALISED federal system of government in operation. The Confederation will be conditional in the sense that no nation will have the right to leave until after a specific period.
