Who am I? What is our home? What is the purpose of my life? It's a tall order for any book. Jeff Jones is a retired physician/surgeon. At about the age of 10 or 11 he was stricken with a bizarre notion: if he knew enough about science, all the questions concerning the world and its meaning would become clear. He was naïve. There is more to the Universe than meets the eye.This quest for meaning led to a career in medicine for almost 30 years. He has continued his lifelong study of science and combined it with the wisdom gleaned from his medical practice to put this book together. Jeff has a BS in Chemistry from Stetson University and a MD degree from the University of Florida. Along the way, he has held 9 U.S patents, been the president of a large medical group, had a few poems published, become a lay member of a contemplative monastic order and father to two amazing daughters. His first book is the direct result of giving two courses to adults on the topic of finding meaning in the wonders of the Universe. Now retired, he has the time to combine a lifetime of experience into a book, Our Universe.
