Autorenporträt
Helen was born in Paisley, Scotland, and came to Toronto, Canada, with her family, arriving in her eighth year of life. She is now an 80-year-old great-grandmother of five and lives in Harvey, New Brunswick, with her husband, son, and granddaughter. She started writing short stories at the age of 14, but only graduated to novels in 2019. Following a singing career and financial planning, she retired at the age of 68. Out of a Dream was written following a Mediterranean cruise to all the locations mentioned in the novel, where she fell in love with the village of Valdemossa in Spain.
