Pacific Northwest poet, Christian Skoorsmith, draws deeply from a well of personal introspection in this new volume of collected poems. Kneeling into the reflective turn of mid-life, Skoorsmith mines his past and present for understanding and insight, but most of all for beauty, even amid the honest difficulties of life. This intensely autobiographical collection reveals the earnest courage of someone leaning into their own heart, and waiting for an echo that rings true. At turns comic and tragic, lofty and commonplace, Skoorsmith's recent work uncovers a man hard at work on himself. "Out of Nowhere" is a noble companion to the material raised in his previous volume, "Trust Only the Trembling."
