Cinda Klickna taught English in Springfield, Illinois, for over 25 years and served in leadership roles with the Illinois Education Association for 18 years. She developed a grammar unit to help students understand appropriate usage, and Out of the Beaks of Birds: Our Crazy, Pesky¿Verbs came about from telling her grandson stories about birds using various verbs. She lives in Rochester, Illinois.
