Tamika S. Hood is a Christian, wife to Davon, and mother to Daniyah. She is also the founder and CEO of Couture Coaching, a consulting practice that offers custom executive, career and/or spiritual coaching experiences to clients, empowering them to be their best selves. While growing up in the South Bronx, New York, Tamika learned how to survive the struggles she faced with God's guidance and grace at an early age. Tamika is grateful for the life lessons that developed her strength, courage and compassion and allows her to help others today. Tamika began writing at the age of 12 when a famous MTV VJ visited to her junior high school and gave her a composition notebook to journal her feelings. She has been recording her passion, pain and promises through her poetry ever since. A successful scholar, Tamika holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Professional Studies in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland; and is currently pursuing her PhD in Business Psychology with a concentration on Organizational Leadership.
