Been involved in the scale-up programmes for solar energy uptake, especially in remote areas in Kenya, and the piloting of a project to produce and enhance post-harvest value addition for orange-fleshed sweet potatoes using solar technology in collaboration with the University of California, Davis (UC Davis). For about eight (8) years since 2005, was the first andpioneer Director of the OAIC Education and Training Programme, which is a vibrant programme that targets hitherto educationally deprived children, young people and adults with Education for Work novelty
