Autorenporträt
Vanessa Lyman Withers enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school. Upon completion of that enlistment, she attended the Ohio State University and earned a bachelor's degree in health education followed by a bachelor's degree in nursing from Capital University. Post college, Vanessa once again served in the military as an officer in the army reserves. She then went back to the Ohio State University and earned a master's degree in public health nursing. Vanessa worked as a school nurse for eleven years. Through that experience, she has come to believe that much of the success of children depends on positive choices made early in life.
