Lise Porter grew up in Southern California and lives in Los Angeles. A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and drama therapist, she has contributed extensively to the mental health field. As a national trainer for Mental Health First Aid, USA she has been intimately involved with bringing mental health awareness to the general public. She has been published twice in the International Journal for the Arts in Psychotherapy and has taught at Mira Costa College and Antioch University in Seattle.
