New York Times bestselling author and holistic psychiatrist shows how to reclaim our mental and physical health without resorting to medication. ' Will change how you approach your health and mental wellbeing.' -Sarah Gottfried, author of The Hormone Cure. With mental health problems becoming overmedicated in the Western world, Kelly Brogan, MD, New York Times bestselling author and holistic psychiatrist, proposes an alternative to medicating our mental, emotional and physical pain away. Kelly begins by exploring the mistaken belief that our symptoms - from mood swings to brain fog to fatigue - are evidence that we are sick or broken, before explaining that true healing comes from understanding the meaning behind your symptoms. Fans of her previous book, A Mind of Your Own, and those want to stop taking psychiatric medication, will discover how to identify and release energy drains and toxic relationships, and take a deeper drive into the spiritual awakening that is an essential part of the journey towards freedom from conventional meds.
