The present study is helpful to understand and predict the behaviour of the kinetics of organic reaction occurring at micellar surfaces formed from relatively simple surfactants because the reaction kinetics at micellar surface is an "interface between physical and organic chemistry on the one hand and biochemistry and physiology on the other. In present work the detail kinetics of oxidation of some amino acids by chloramine - T in presence of anionic, cationic and non ionic surfactant has been studied and the kinetics data in terms of various models proposed for micellar catalysed reaction and through light on the mechanism of the oxidation process in micellar medium, In the present work the systematic kinetic data for the oxidation of three -aminoacid alanine, phenylalanine and valine by chloramine -T in perchlonic acid medium and in presence of surfactant viz anionic surfactant (sodium lauryl sulphate NaLS), cationic surfactant (cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide, CTAB) and non loinic surfactant (polyoxy ethylene (23) lauryl ether Brij - 35) have been investigated.
