Author Deborah Stevenson and illustrator Morgan Spicer have won many awards for their children's books, including Best Children's Non-Fiction, Next Generation Indie Book Awards, for Soaring Soren and Feathered Quill's Best Children's Animal Book for Oy, Elephants! and The Last Rhino. Their mutual passion for animals is the heart and soul of their collaboration, as well as their strong desire to share that passion with children. Pugs Wearing Parkas is their fifth book together.
