A promissory agreement, such as those used in business transactions to indicate that you will pay and or do what you have indicated that you would do. When you enter into a promissory agreement, your signature is confirmation that you will do what you said. This book advises you on the necessity of having an understanding of all relationships and the role you are expected to fulfill as a partner in any of these types of relationships. The book touches on the belief that God never intended for you to just get married and be happy, but to know that God has a structure and a plan for marriage and every other relationship but He intended for you to get an understanding before signing any agreement or before entering into any relationship. An example of a promissory agreement is when a student takes out a loan for tuition, they are given a promissory agreement which indicates that they will payback the money that they borrowed. However, prior to signing the agreement, all students should have an understanding that when you sign this agreement, you are solely responsible for the funds that you are receiving and you are required to pay them back. The signature on this promissory agreement indicates that you agree to terms of the contract and you cannot and will not change your mind, and even if you do, the agreement has already being confirmed. This edition of P.M.S. says that before you agree to be in a relationship, you should ask the real hard questions of everyone that will be involved. This edition says that if you get an understanding first, recognize the red flags, then you wont lose money or be hurt later. This applies to all relationships and will benefit you in the end should you decide to enter into a relationship.
