Paeonia officinalis, commonly known as European peony (family: Paeoniaceae) native to south-eastern Europe, has been widely introduced elsewhere (including Kashmir) as a garden plant. Feroz Ahmad did his Bachelor of Pharmacy from Jamia Hamdard University and received his Master of Pharmacy degree in Pharmacology from the University of Kashmir in 2012. He is currently working as Senior Research Fellow at CSIR-IGIB, New Delhi.
