PAH content investigation into environmental samples of drilling mud and water soluble fraction (WSF) of crude oil is necessitated as a consequence of offshore drilling activities carried out in the marine regions. PAH are the compounds that exhibit the probability of bioaccumulation into fishes of commercial and economic value from the discharge of such drilling wastes; thus significantly impacting the benthic environment in vicinity to drilling platforms in the offshore regions.
