Paint Brush In The Sky involves the story of two native Alaskan brothers living in the tundra exploring it's vast wilderness and it's unique beauty. Atu and Li use the power of imagination, like all children do, to discover the world in their own eyes. 'Paint Brush In The Sky' teaches that there are no limits to what is possible. The brothers bounce ideas off one another to try and understand the phenomenon that occurs in the Arctic skies, otherwise known as the Northern Lights.

Autorenporträt
George Lehtinen, from 1984 to 1994, experienced the eye opening beauty and rich culture of the state of Alaska. From the Northern Lights to dog mushing, he realized how special his time was there as a young man. Now, as an adult, he desires to share what it was like encountering the harsh weather conditions, unique wildlife and extraordinary natural phenomenon, called the Aurora Borealis. An artist all of his life, he pursued and graduated with a bachelors in art from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota in 1994. In high school in Alaska, he displayed many of his works in the school, like designing the emblem on the school's football helmet and senior jerseys. He also designed the front cover of his school's yearbook in 1986 as a freshman. In college, he continued with small murals in the university's gym and t-shirts for festivals. Throughout his time as an active duty sailor in the United States Coast Guard, he entertained the entire crew with daily cartoons of ship life. During his downtime on land, he painted as a hobby. Currently, he continues his hobby by writing short stories with fully colored illustrations with easy-to-read rhyming dialogue so children can understand and enjoy his writing.
