An island. An artist. A secret. In June of 1985, Caroline Painter's uncle whisks her away from her island home at Painter Place to film an art video in the harbor village of Mevagissey. But the trip to help the young artist clear her heart and her head entangles her in adventure and intrigue on the English Channel, and the media she tries to avoid launches her into fame. The biggest challenge of the summer awaits Caroline when she returns home and discovers a shattering secret that tests her faith and makes her question everything in her life. Can she trust the only one who says he understands? "An enchanting romantic novel, beautifully written with a very believable story line. I loved the way Pamela Poole introduces her characters and how they developed as the story unfolds. Loved it. I am looking forward to reading the next volume of the Painter Place Saga." - J. I. Mackay, Wildlife Artist, UK "If you are looking for a well written, CLEAN, sweet romance with a good story-line included this is for you!" Pamela Poole's love for the LowCountry of South Carolina inspires all her books and paintings, so she describes her work as "Southern Ambiance." She and her husband live in the Hilton Head, SC area, where they enjoy walks on the beach, palm trees, magnolias, and wildlife around the lagoon in their back yard. Pamela loves Bible Study and writes clean fiction from an unapologetically Christian worldview, which is unusual in the lukewarm fare of today's inspirational book markets. As an artist and former art teacher, she also writes stories featuring artists and art perspectives that help any reader have a deeper appreciation for painting. Pamela lives life loving Jesus and her family as a wife, mother, and Gigi to a grandson on earth and a granddaughter in heaven, and she is blessed with a church family and true friends. She is a member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Association and Low Country Plein Air Painters. "Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us- to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20,21
