The monograph is devoted to a new interpretation of the Esen-2 and Karakuduq 1-3 stone-working workshops located on the coast of the Barsa-Kelmes depression of the Ustyurt plateau. A unified classification of Central Asian workshops was developed by M.R. Kasimov and L.Ya. Krijevskaya in the 70s of the XX century. In the following years, due to the emergence of new typological and technological methods of studying stone objects and the discovery of a number of workshops in the territory of Uzbekistan, there was an opportunity to develop new cultural-periodic classifications of this type of monuments.
