Autorenporträt
Vishnu Sharma is believed to be the author of Panchatantra. Other than the fact that he was a scholar, appointed to the court of a king to educate his sons about life, there is no substantial information on him. People conjecture that he may have been a literary invention, only a character used to introduce the stories in the book.
