Pandi is a young panda that lives with his family. When his parents become worried about not having enough bamboo to eat, Pandi decides to set off to find more. His travels take him to Africa, where he meets many different indigenous animals. Some of these animals are humorous, while others are dangerous! Each time Pandi meets a different animal, the reader learns an important fact about the animal and their diet. One day, after unsuccessfully searching for food Pandi falls asleep, dehydrated and exhausted. He dreams about his family and cuddling with his mother. Waking up, he discovers he is in the arms of a human. What will happen to Pandi now? About the Author Alfred Sole was born in South Africa in 1945 and qualified as a teacher in 1970. He has taught in primary, secondary schools, an adult learning center, and more importantly in ESL schools. Some people refer to him as an eccentric, a free thinker, a recluse, a visionary, a rebel, and a scholar. He is constantly learning and utilizing new ideas in his work and believes "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear." His hobbies include traveling, writing, and teaching.
