Autorenporträt
Cynthia Bardes, a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, has been a dress designer, interior decorator, and founder of a rare print gallery. She turned to writing children's books in 2010, inspired by her own chocolate toy poodle named Pansy. Since then, Pansy's adventures solving mysteries all over the world have won her a large and loyal audience of kids and parents who eagerly await each new book. They have also inspired a touring musical play called Poodleful. Pansy in Alaska is the eighth book in the Pansy series, with more to come! When not traveling the world researching new Pansy stories, Cynthia lives with her husband David-and Pansy-in Vero Beach, Florida, and Los Angeles, California. Virginia Best is a visual artist living in Derby, Vermont. When not busy with Pansy's adventures, she is a painter and photographer whose work has been exhibited and collected nationally. Virginia and her husband Ralph-and their three poodles-operate a small organic potato farm.
