My name is Mary E. Waling-Palmer I was born in Detroit and grew up in Milford, Michigan in the 1960's I have 5 brothers Tom, Jr. (deceased), Rick, Joe, Dennis and Ronnie. (That is another book of stories someday). I just wanted to write this book about my family and this everyday ritual. I think of us as Cheaper by the Dozen or Von Trapp Family but only a 1/2 Dozen of us. I worked 20 years in the family business Waling Industries, Inc., manufacturer of RV and Automotive Aftermarket products. We were in all the major Auto and RV Aftermarket Stores throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. I presently volunteer some of my time at the Italian American Club of Livonia, Friends of the Northville Historical District Commission, and Private Education. I enjoy cooking, dancing, movies, music, traveling, sports, gardening, home projects, health, spiritual events, prayer, willing to give a helping hand, organizing and planning events, involved with some theater, volunteer with high school drama program, strong interest with fine arts, loves family and people. Family has always been important to me whether they are far or near. I always try to stay connected with everyone by either planning family get-togethers, celebrating holidays, modern communication, and even sad times etc. John and I have been married for 27 years we have one son Andrew who is in Secondary Education in the Archdiocese of Detroit.
