PL is based on the theory of contradiction, and the leaders of the organization face various forms of contradictions within the organization, despite this, they seek to achieve stability, maintain its competitive position, customer desires, and develop its services.Employees also face conflicting situations, which leads to feelings of anxiety and job insecurity. The successful leader must convince employees to accept contradictions and deal with them by giving them a degree of freedom which leads to increase the degree of job satisfaction, and improving their performance.Traditional leadership seeks (Either-or), in the sense of choosing only one of the available solutions. PL uses the (Both-and) methodology and seeks to strike a kind of balance in the contradictory behaviors of the employees, and to develop their capabilities in dealing with the contradictory environments.
