Autorenporträt
Ronnie Roberts is a lifelong denizen of Clearwater Beach. Since the invention of parasailing in the 70s, his community has grown from a tiny backwater to a bustling hub of giant hotel resorts. Ronnie is a soft-spoken surfer dude with flaxen hair and a weather beaten face who loves dogs and believes in positivity. He owns and operates a busy water sports business and a local airplane company. Parasail Island and the Sons of Beaches is his debut novel. Ronnie is a sunny fellow who claims to have led a quiet, uneventful life. Except for the day he had to land a burning Cessna at the nearby resort, of course! And another day when a whole story of his apartment building floor exploded, killing some of his neighbors, and he had to carry a firefighter and other residents out of the flames (after going back in with the firefighter's radio). Not the only time he made national headlines, either: one of his jet ski rentals had a manufacturing defect and actually blew up with a customer aboard! But we could just keep a lid on all such explosive material and say that Ronnie's life has been clear sailing... Parasailing, that is! Across the bay from Ronnie in South Tampa lives ghostwriter and editor Russil Tamsen. He enjoys helping budding authors who want to see their passions become pageturners. He grew up in the Northeast U.S., England and France, and went to high school near Paris. Russil is a graduate of Brown University. Quirkebooks.com is his personal writing site, full of freaky but magical ebooks. Russil has done editorial rewrites of novels for several newbie authors; currently he's working on the upcoming book by Mr. Roberts about the sordid world of dog-fighting, and a new Young Adult work by author Preston Copeland about bullying.
