People with underlying disorders, particularly liver diseases, are more susceptible to parasitic infestation. There is need to study the parasites of Heterotis niloticus, their site preferences because there is lack of information on parasites infestation of this fish species from the lower Benue River. And this will hopefully assist the Benue state immediate community on appropriate prophylactic measures to take for its control.
