Polidori, RobertRobert Polidori, geboren 1951 in Montréal, lebt in New York. Seine Fotografien wurden in Paris, Brasilia, New York, Los Angeles und Minneapolis ausgestellt. Er arbeitet regelmäßig für "The New Yorker", "Geo" und "Architectural Digest Deutschland". Polidori wurde vielfach ausgezeichnet, unter anderem mit dem World Press Award und zwei Alfred Eisenstaedt Awards.

Steidl, GerhardGerhard Steidl, geboren 1950 in Göttingen, gründete 1968 seinen eigenen Verlag und richtete in Göttingen eine Siebdruckwerkstatt für Druckgrafik und Plakate ein. Er arbeitete u.a. mit Künstlern wie A.R. Penck, Klaus Staeck und Joseph Beuys. Das erste Buch im Steidl Verlag erschien 1972. Nach politischen Sachbüchern folgen Anfang der achtziger Jahre Literatur, Kunst- und Fotografiebände. Seit 1996 verlegt Steidl ein eigenes Fotobuchprogramm - mit internationaler Zielrichtung.
