Sexual experience among adolescents is becoming more common and its initiation early despite its negative consequences which may precipitate a crisis of personal, interpersonal, religious and medical dimensions due to numerous related complications and higher adolescent mortality. The purpose of the study was to examine whether premarital sex among Mbarara Municipality (Uganda) secondary school adolescents of both sexes, aged 15-21 relate to the relationship they have with their parents. The study revealed that the relationship between parents and adolescents was significantly and inversely related to adolescents involvement in premarital sex. It further showed that both boys and girls respond to equally to the relationship they have with their parents. By reading this book parents will find help not only for themselves but also insight into being able to help their children with the challenge in today s world. Adolescents need guidance and support of parents (family), community and attention of government committed to their healthy development.
