She cites various challenges encountered while teaching children at home such as: technology, death in the family, divorce, negligence by parents or care-givers and lack of time with children.

Anne Barugira is married with three children. She is currently working at International Leadership University. She is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Education Programme (Child Development and Family Studies) at Africa International University. Anne has a passion for children and has served in Sunday School Ministry over 30 years.
