The agricultural communities of what now comprise Parsippany-Troy Hills were settled in the mid-eighteenth century, but time has destroyed many of the artifacts of the areas early years. Autorenporträt
In 1986, Dr. Joseph Hossbacher and a group of like-minded history buffs, desiring to preserve the community's remaining historic sites and structures, organized the Parsippany Historical and Preservation Society. In the hope of continuing the goal, the society presents this photographic history of Parsippany-Troy Hills. Data is based on the earliest obtainable sources, and the pictures feature many of the township's well-known ancestors, historic sites, and points of interest. The accompanying captions include anecdotes, architectural details of old homes, and a recounting of past events that have significance for our community.
