Moldova joined the Eastern Partnership in a difficult period for the country, and this European structure provided this state with the necessary conditions for change and the promotion of bilateral relations. Its economy is vulnerable to external shocks and its growth is more due to favorable conditions in the region. This leads to an increase in the transfers of inhabitants working abroad, which influence the growth of consumption on the background of higher imports. The problem of migration and remittances is faced by all the Eastern Partnership member countries, that is why the aim of this analysis is to identify its impact over the economy of the Republic of Moldova. The personal remittances received by the country have a great impact upon the economic development of the Gross Domestic Product in the country.
