Jardhar village is located in the Himalayan range of Chamba block of Tehri Garhwal district. The village is divided into 9 wards and 17 hamlets in a stretch of 9 km. Jardhar village is located in the Himalayan range of Chamba block of Tehri Garhwal district. The village is divided into 9 wards and 17 hamlets in a stretch of 9 km. The village comprises of families from general and scheduled caste individuals with about 285 families (2001 data). The participatory learning action (PLA) methodology was adopted for the effective implementation of sustainable development in the Jardhar village. The field study was carried out from 25-28 May 2013. A team of six scientist and technologist were engaged to execute this. After through filed visits and problem matrix analysis 18 problems were identified and at the same time causes of poverty were also arrived. The problems ranked were suggested S&T interventions through brainstorming activities. An action plan was prepared and in which short term and long term measures to be adopted were suggested to overcome these problems and to move toward inclusive growth of the Jardhar village. The interaction of all these measures for effective implementation has been also suggested.
