Le Dr Parama Bannerji est professeur adjoint de géographie à l'université Amity de Kolkata, où elle s'intéresse à la planification et à la durabilité. Sumona Bandopadhyay est professeur de géographie à l'université de Calcutta. Elle est également présidente de la Regional Science Association of India et s'intéresse à la géographie sociale et urbaine.
