The number of elderly diabetics is constantly increasing. The degenerative complications of diabetes and the frequent comorbidities of diabetes in the elderly have a greater impact on the autonomy of the elderly. Taking into account these particularities of diabetes in the elderly population, the screening, the therapeutic management adapted to the age and the prevention of the complications of diabetes represent a real stake in geriatrics. The aim of our work was to describe the clinical, para-clinical, therapeutic and evolutionary characteristics of type 2 diabetes in the elderly.
