Improving the quality of the part was considered on the example of manufacturing the part "Nozzle body". As a preform we chose a part of steel 20 stamped according to OST 1.41574-85. We carried out the incoming inspection of blanks by X-rays and checked their chemical composition. The purpose of these checks is to control the quality of blanks that are received for machining, because the further quality of the parts depends on them. In the basic technological process the part "Nozzle body" was manufactured on the line of universal machines, including turning, milling, drilling, etc. In the course of the study, it was proposed to replace the universal machines with CNC machines. Therefore, a new technological process was developed and a control program for CNC lathe NT4200DCG/1500SZ was written. Production of the part "nozzle body" on this machine requires participation of highly qualified CNC machine setters. The quality of the manufactured part and preservation of durability ofequipment, cutting tools and mandrels depends on their qualification. In the work it was proposed to use NX system for production of the part "Nozzle body".
